He is survived by: his parents, Thomas E. Hughes and Michele M. Hughes; his sisters, Michele Whelan and Bridget Sousa; his niece Gabby Whelan; his nephews, Liam Whelan and William Sousa; his daughter Haley Hughes; and his brothers-in-law, Brian Whelan and Michael Sousa. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
