He was predeceased by: his parents, James J. Thorne and Katherine D. Thorne (Kallner); his sister Mary Jane Heritage; and his brother-in-law Calvin J. Heritage. He is survived by: his wife Mary Ann E. Thorne (Dorsey); and his children, Ronald E. Thorne, Jr. and Jaqueline M. Thorne.
