He was predeceased by: his parents, Jose Luis Otero, Sr. and Nelida Zerquera-Otero. He is survived by: his wife Helen Olchak-Otero; his children, Elizabeth Otero (Jose Fabian) and Daniel Otero (April Rooney); his granddaughters, Lucy and Maya Fabian; and his sisters, Maria Boisvert-Otero and Nelida Otero-Flatow. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
