It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jiri Turinsky of Delmar, New York, who passed away on January 30, 2024, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Josef Turinsky and Bozena Turinsky (Balsankova). He is survived by: his wife Andrea; his sons, George (Beth) of Rochester, NY and Andrew (Jomol) of Delmar, NY; his grandchildren, Anna, Sarah, Andrew, Matthew and Jonathan; and his siblings, Karel Turinsky and Hela Angerova.
Jiri left an indelible mark on countless medical students and graduate students at Albany Med, and made numerous contributions to the fields of endocrinology and physiology.
