It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James A. Matousek (Delmar, New York), who passed away on November 5, 2023, at the age of 67, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Alois Matousek and Arline Matousek. He is survived by: his wife Betsy; his daughters, Rachel Shevy (Robert) and Katelyn Matousek (Samantha); his sisters, Patricia Lewandowski (Paul) and Cheryl Gilles (Jon); and his grandchildren, Harrison and Natalie Shevy. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society in Jim's name, or consider joining the "Be the Match" bone marrow donor registry.
