He was predeceased by: his parents, Manuel Ares and Jennie Ares (Soto); his wife Sharyn F. Ares (Frischer); his daughter Amanda Ares Wasilewicz; and his brother Albert Ares.
He is survived by: his daughters, Melissa Borys (Ted) of Berne, NY and Jennifer Oceana Seer (Paul) of Portland, OR.; his granddaughters, Tasha Borys (Chris Winter) of Brooklyn, Leda Borys (Maggie O'Brien) of Palmer and Hope Seer of Portland; his great grandchild Cameron Theodor Winter; his sister-in-law Maria Ares; his niece Susan; his nephew Keith Ares; and his friend Richie Carr.
