She was predeceased by: her parents, Donald Matthews and Marian; her sisters, Doris DeSilva and Patricia Sherwood; and also George Schwarz.
She is survived by: her daughters, Tammy Retz (Matthew) of Mount Upton and Courtney Sage (Bret) of Hamden; her grandchildren, Aden Miller, Hannah Sage, Lexus Coughlin, Rachel Sage, Delaney Coughlin, Alivia Retz and Latham Retz; her siblings, Barb Condon, Dema McAdams, Robert Matthews and Gary Matthews; and her brother-in-law Roger Dibble (Dolores). She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers contributions in memory of Gail may be made to The American Cancer Society or locally to the Heart of the Catskills Humane Society.
