She was predeceased by: her parents, Hugo Gamst and Irma Gamst (Panou); her former husband Professor Dennis Baker; and her husband Dr. Fritz Heinegg. She is survived by: her daughters, Adrienne Vennen of Westville, NY and Allison Stange (Thomas) of Cherry Hill, NJ; her grandson Jacob Phillip Traweek (Sophie) of Springfield, VA; and her great grandchildren, Zoe and Isabelle Traweek.
In lieu of flowers contributions in memory of Erika can be made to St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Laurens, Catskill Symphony Orchestra or to the Alzheimer's Association.
