He was predeceased by: his parents, Lyle Carpenter and Edith Carpenter (Hunt); his wife Vivian Rosa Carpenter; his son Wayne Robert Carpenter; and his sisters, Jenna May Jones, Edna Olsowski and Nancy Ballard.
He is survived by: his children, William Carpenter (Carolyn) and Deborah Stein (Steve); his grandchildren, Jeff Stein, Kyle Stein (Lise) and Josh Stein; and his great grandchild Oliver James Stein. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
