He is survived by: his wife Kathleen Smith (Burdic); his children, Richard Smith (Ashley) of Delevan, Angela Wicks of Jamestown and Gary Crawford (Beth) of Gowanda; his siblings, Jim Cleveland of Frostproof, FL, Daniel Smith of Jamestown, Steve Smith of Jamestown, John Smith (Laurie) of Greeneville, TN, Katherine Muro (Tony) of Lewiston, Deborah Anderson (Shane) of East Concord, Melissa Smith of Rochester and Tiffany Colburn (Terry) of Falconer; and his stepmother Peggy Smith of Jamestown. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
