He is survived by: his sons, Daniel Gardner (Roberta) of DeKalb Junction and David Gardner (Sheila) of DeKalb Junction; his stepchildren, Eric VanGelder, Bethany McMullen (Gary) and Ellen VanGelder; his stepson-in-law Tukuzo-Maxwell Mlamo; and his stepgrandchildren, Qanda-Debra, Qondisa-David, Phoebe, Jasmine, Gabriel, Matthew, Andrew and Betsy.
