He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Penny and Claudia Penny (Hardin); and his son Virgil Lee Penny. He is survived by: his wife Judith Penny (Hanrahan); and his children, Virginia Ward (Robert), Kathy Penny, David Penny, Michael Penny (Nancy), Larry Reed (Nancy) and Rebecca Deen (Wesley). He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
