She was predeceased by: her parents, Guy Losey and Edna Losey (Pfaff); her husband Gerald "Jerry" Shute; and her siblings, Dorothy Hayward, Margaret Erwin, Myrtle Hill and Pete Losey.

She is survived by: her son James Shute (Ashley) of Mt. Morris. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
