He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard E. Gates and Barbara J Gates (Granville); and his sister Carol Ann Foringer (Gates). He is survived by: his friend Robert L. "Bob" Gates; his brother Richard Gates (Marie); his stepsisters, Deborah Hartman (David) and Barbara (Robert Gates); his wife Sandra Gates (Rex); his children, Kristy Sager (Gates), Jennifer Emmons (Scott), Robert Gates, Aaron Scott, Meggan Gates, Tracy Daniels (Scott), Clayton Gates and Dillon Gates; and his friend JP (Leslie). He is also survived by many grandchildren & great-grandchildren.
