He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Snyder and A. Renilda Snyder (Morsch); his siblings, Carmelita Snyder, Neil Snyder and Marcia; and his brother-in-law Alex Molinich.

He is survived by: his wife Marge Snyder of Dansville; his children, Joseph Snyder (Janice) of Dansville, Thomas Snyder (Bonnie) of Dansville, Chris "Grub" Snyder (Kathy) of Dansville and Todd Snyder (Shoshana Dietrich) of Webster; his grandchildren, Joshua Snyder (Kristen), Matthew Snyder (Erica), Stephanie Johnson (Scott), Kelsey Snyder, Kaitlyn Snyder, Matthew McKinney (Amanda) and Michael McKinney (Jillian); his great grandchildren, Alyssa, Hunter, Cora, Teghan, Tenley, Carlin, Jonah and Madden; and his sister Joyce Snyder of Virginia. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
