It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James M. Schlageter (Dansville, New York), born in Canandaigua, New York, who passed away on January 6, 2021, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Vincent Schlageter and Sarah Schlageter (McAuliffe); and his brother John Schlageter. He is survived by: his children, Cristina Schlageter (Gowanda Earley), Vincent Schlageter and Karlee Schlageter; his grandsons, Christian Schlageter and Ryan Smith; his stepgrandson Thomas Shaffer; his great grandchild Kisaiya Shaffer; his siblings, Gail Mosher, Cheryl Viel (Paul), Sarah Schlageter, Frederick Schlageter (Vera Spears) and Gerald Schlageter; his close friends, LeeAnn Griffin, Karen Snowman and Dianne Ciaccia-Fountaine; and his brother-in-law Paul Viel. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, & dear friends.
