He is survived by: his wife Paula McElwain Gross of Hornell; his sons, Aaron Gross (Kristin) of Farmington, NY, Christopher Gross (Meghan Payne) of Hornell, Thomas Gross (Carrie Hanchett) of Hornell, Ernest Gross of Hornell, Carl Sackett (Alicia) of Geneseo, Mathew Brooks, Jason Gross and Donnie Gross; his stepsiblings, Edward Dale (Tina Cartwright) of Wayland, Catherine Dale and Bertha Dale (Tim Hess) of Mt. Morris; and his grandchildren, Cassandra Gross, George, D. J. Bailey, Trevor Payne, Nathaniel, Charlotte Gross, Riley McElwain, Brieanna, Arianna and Julieanna Hanchett.
