We are sad to announce that on March 18, 2019, Ethel J. Houghtaling (Dansville, New York) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilson Potter and Florence Potter (Giles); her husband Merle E. Houghtaling; her children, Kevin Houghtaling and Dawn Marie Houghtaling; and her siblings, Dwayne Potter and Barbara Potter.
She is survived by: her children, Brian Houghtaling (Carol) of Wellsboro, PA, Richard Houghtaling (Sherri) of East Stroudsburg, PA, Mike Houghtaling (Penny) of Arkport, NY and Robin Newcomb (Mark) of Dansville; and her siblings, Harold Potter of Elkland, PA, John Potter (Connie) of Florida, Rocky Potter of Florida, Eleanor Tombs (Alfred) of Harrison Valley, PA and Belva Wilcox (Danny) of Elmira, NY. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandson; several nieces & nephews.
Ethel's family request that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her name be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, St. Jude Children's Hospital.
