With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dorothy Gayhart of Dansville, New York, born in Hornell, New York, who passed away on September 26, 2023 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Chase and Alice Chase (Lake); her husband Don; her daughter Rose M. Gayhart; her grandsons, Danny Schafer and Gary Towner; and her siblings, Larry, Robin, Linda and Betty.
She is survived by: her children, Cheryl Towner, Laurle Travis (Gary Schirmer), Brenda Avery (Bob), Elizabeth Aquilina (Dave Guentner), Tom Aquilina, Donna Collister (Don) and Rebecca Myers; her grandchildren, Alyssa Towner, Christina Roth (Nick), Joel Parkhurst, Jon Avery (Tiffany), Cody Avery, Monica Gayhart (Chris), Desiree Collister, Amanda Collister (Joel), Katherine Drysdale (Alex), Kellie McHale (John) and Thomas Aquilina (Kitty); and her siblings, Mary Gayhart, John Chase and Shirley Greenhagan. She is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild.
