He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Coombs and Charlene Coombs (Selbig). He is survived by: his children, Dawn Tobias, Darwin Coombs, Jr. and Jason Coombs; his stepdaughter Tasha Hardy; and his siblings, Tim Coombs, Jane Hart, Kimberly Cronotti, Tracey Hayward and Shelly Coombs. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchild.

“My thoughts and prayers are with you at the time of your loss. I knew Darwin for about 4 months within that period of time I got to know him. He talked with me. Made me laugh. He was a character that is for sure. He also had a big heart. I asked him for a fudge pop for a friend and myself once. He replied yes as long as you ask. His granddaughter graduated with my daughter Class of 2020. May peace be with you now and always. He will truly be missed and remembered. God Bless You All.”
