He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Layhee and Edna Layhee (McCormick); and his siblings, Jack, Jeff, Cindy and Lisa.
He is survived by: his wife Sandi of Dannemora; his daughters, Shannon (Michael McGill) of Davidson, NC and Darcy (David Waldron) of Saranac; his grandchildren, Jack, Sullivan McGill, Jacoby and Nora Waldron; his siblings, Jim (Wanda), Chuck (Maureen), Bill (Kimberly) and Joann; and his brothers-in-law, Dwayne (Melanie Smart) and David (Kelly Smart).
