He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Lawrence Sovay and Beatrice Sovay (Gardner); his wife Debra "Debbie" Sovay; his daughters, Kari Lauzon, Kelli Rodriguez, Molly Sovay, Katharine Simon, Chelsea Sovay and Lacie Sovay; his sister Linda Daunais; his grandchildren, Austin, Mercedes, Andrew, Gabriel, Lagee, Hezekih and Deborah; and his nieces, Jennifer and Melissa.
Donations in his memory may be made to a charity of choice supporting cancer patients.
