He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruth Louise and Leonard Burdette; his siblings, Clarence, Earl, Kenneth and Ruby; his wife Doris Jeanette Thomas; and his son John.
He is survived by: his children, Rodger Thomas (Becky) of Cuyler, Lloyd Thomas (Tammy) of Texas, Lowell Thomas (Michelle) of Solon, Dorothy Partis of Homer, Penny Thomas of McGraw and Brenda Lisi of Elmira. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; eleven great- grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
