He was predeceased by: his parents, Gustive Chind and Dorothea Chind (Haack); his wife Sara Cocco; and his brother William Chind. He is survived by: his son Richard A. Chind, Jr. (Casey) of Friendship; his grandchildren, Kennedy Rogers (Christopher) of Friendship and Jason Chind of Friendship; and his sister Shirley Rondeau (Joe) of Louisiana. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
