She was predeceased by: her parents, Melvin Smith, and Pearl Dalaba Smith, Sr.; her daughter Wendy J. Smith-Karnes; and her siblings, John Howard, Ida Carey, Verna Warner, Eva Willets and Joann Lee.
She is survived by: her granddaughters, Elizabeth M. Karnes (Ian Wojcik) of Ceres and Emily J. Karnes of Lewis Run; her great grandchildren, Alex, Kayleigh, Wendy, Jensen, Jaxsen, Izabella and Jordan; and her siblings, Royal "Sunny" Smith of Cuba, Melvin Smith, Jr. (Donna) of Cuba, Marty Smith (Luanne) of Cuba, Asher Smith of Wellsville and Diana Whitcher of Cuba. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
