He was predeceased by: his wife Fidelis Ryder; and his siblings, Richard Riley, Catherine DeBernardinis (James), Barbara Elliot (Richard), Beverly Nelson (William) and Bertram "Hap" Ryder.
He is survived by: his children, Fidelis Valdakis (Pete), Joan Ryder (Ray Allen), Christopher Ryder (Sharon), William Ryder (Kim) and Frederick Ryder (Kathy). He is also survived by Nieces and Nephews, Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren and one Great-Great Grandchild.
Visitation was held on Sunday, April 6th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Edward F. Carter Funeral Home (41 Grand St, Croton-On-Hudson, NY 10520). A funeral service was held on Monday, April 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
He had been a donor in the Croton Blood Bank since its inception and was an active blood bank aphresis (platelet) donor, donating in excess of 70 times.
