She was predeceased by: her parents, Percy Heywood and Margaret Heywood (Ahye); her husband Ainsley Ashton Adams; her stepdaughter Wendy-Anne Ellis; and her siblings, Irma Semoy, Joan (Vera), Cornelius (Sonny), John (Jimsey) and Kennedy.
She is survived by: her daughter Natalie Adams Bolden; her grandchildren, Stefan, Kyle Ellis, Amara (Melody), Melvin Bolden, Jr. and Rita; and her siblings, Thomas (Noel), Winston, Martin Heywood, Theresa Narine, Mary Modeste and Helena Shampoo. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
