He was predeceased by: his father William Effron (Sadie). He is survived by: his children, Rachel Effron Sharma (Ashish) and Neil Effron (Lisa); his grandchildren, Elle (Isabelle), Maya and Rhea (Carole Sands); his great grandchildren, Lena Sands (Ari) and Meryl Sands (Maxray); his brothers, Jack Effron (late Rita) and Ira Effron (Dana); his nephews, Steven (Amy), Sam (Savannah) and Jonathan (Jaci); and his wife Linda Effron (Nisenson).

Mike always donated to charity, and tried to support as many organizations as he could. Donations can be made in his memory anywhere, especially Miles of Hope, Marist College, and Vassar Hospital.
