She is survived by: her parents, Sadic Mugerwa and Aisha Nnanfuka Mugerwa; her spouse Cosmas Gitta; her children, Noah, Joshua Gitta and Anita Gitta; and her siblings, Badru Kiggundu of Newark, Isaac Kiggundu of Billerica, Rashid SSali Mugerwa of Kampala, Sauda Mugerwa of Kikungwe, Masaka and Sulaina Kiggundu of Newark. She is also survived by many nephews and nieces.
Mary Sarah Mugerwa-Gitta of Cortlandt Manor, NY, died from complications of COVID-19 in the afternoon of April 2nd, 2020, at New York-Presbyterian Hospital in Cortlandt Manor after about two weeks of critical illness.
