He is survived by: his wife Mary Jo Grimaldi Mashlykin; his children, Alyson Mashlykin Dearie, Amy Mashlykin, Peter Mashlykin and Jody Mashlykin; his grandchildren, Hannah, Claire, Michael Dearie, Rex Diaz and Maximo Walter Mashlykin; and his sister Stephanie Swofford.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Walter's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
