She was predeceased by: her parents, Alfred Thorington and Velma Soules Thorington; her husband Theodore 'Ted Strauf; and her siblings, Elenor Dunn, Loretta Taylor, Richard Thorington, Larry Thorington, Kenneth Thorington and Gary Thorington.
She is survived by: her children, Stacey Aylesworth (Rich) of Homer, Melissa Darling (Gerrod) of Homer, Matt Strauf (Amy) of Moravia and Troy Thorington (Terri) of McGraw; her sister Betsy Brewer; and her grandchildren, Ryan, Brandon, Josh, Bailey, Maurice, Garrett, Darling, Shelby, Shelly, Riley, Colby, Connor, Cassady, Rae, Emma, Jordon and Jonathon. She is also survived by several great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
