He was predeceased by: his father Roger Vanderwall; and his sister Laurie Russell. He is survived by: his girlfriend Penny Kniest of Newark; his children, Tianna Vanderwall of Cortland and Amber Huggins (Ben); his mother Joanne Simpson; his siblings, Roxanne Wright (Mark), Chancler Simpson, Dannie Vanderwall and Jennifer Diana (Keith); his brother-in-law Jim Russell; and his close friend Cliff Lancaster (Jessamy).

It is requested that memorial donations be made to Hospice of Rochester 3111 Winton Road, Rochester, NY 14623.
