He is survived by: his wife Leslie Hastings Carpenter of Cortland, NY; his children, Stephanie Barone (Steve), John Carpenter, Mindy Sue Eppley (Josh), Jill Goff (Brian) and Cassidy Goff; his grandchildren, Lola, Gus Barone, Jacob and Julia Totman; and his siblings, Richard Carpenter (Darlene) and Debra Henson.
