He was predeceased by: his sons, Raymond Smith, Jr. and Rick Smith; and his wives, Imogene Hitchcock, Winifred White and Cindy Preston.
He is survived by: his children, Geri Smith, Nikki Williams, Penney Schott, Donna Moya (Ben) and Kelly Edwards; and his siblings, Leon Smith, Linda Wakula and Coretta Smith. He is also survived by twenty grandchildren, thirty-seven great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
