He was predeceased by: his parents, Lynn Spiess and Pearl Spiess; his sister Judie Peterson; and his nephew Michael Davis. He is survived by: his wife Mary Spiess (Davis); his sons, Christopher Spiess (Shannon) of Oxnard, CA and Jason Spiess of Cortland; his grandson Jayden Spiess; his brother-in-law Michael Davis (Esther) of Cortland; his nephews, Steven Davis, Matthew Davis and Jeffrey Davis; and his niece Marybeth Petersen.
