He was predeceased by: his parents, Curt Smith and Delores Kurtz; his son Jason; his stepmother Edith Smith; and his stepbrother Rick Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Janice Smith (Reusch); his children, Marc of South Carolina and Sue Mauser (Kevin) of Killawog; and his sisters, Coreva Goddard and Cecile Robbins. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
