With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Kathleen M. Gilliland (Cortland, New York), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. As we bid Kathleen farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Kathleen is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Gordon Gilliland and Dorothy Gilliland (Dietrich); and her sister Agnes. She is survived by: her sister Darlene Stafford; her nieces, RaeLynn Hundley (James) and CarriLynn Stafford (Chuck Loomis); her nephew James Stafford (Dawna); her brother Robert Gilliland; and her sister-in-law Sue Gilliland.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 16th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Wright-Beard Funeral Home Inc. (9 Lincoln Ave, Cortland, NY 13045). A memorial service was held on Monday, September 16th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in memory of Kathleen, may be directed to a local SPCA agency.
