He was predeceased by: his sister Frances L Frisina. He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Goddard; his daughters, Katherine F Ludewig and Jenny; his son-in-law Jay Shain; his son David; his daughter-in-law Robin Ludewig; and his grandchildren, Nathaniel, Benjamin, Harry Ludewig, Gabriel Shain and Elena Shain. He is also survived by nephews, nieces and cousins.

Mr. Ludewig requested that no flowers be sent and that memorial gifts be given to the public library of choice.
