He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Vaughan and Phyllis Vaughan; and his siblings, Roger Vaughan and Marjorie Berbaum. He is survived by: his wife Karen; his stepchildren, R. Antonia Matthaeus (Eric) of Chandler, AZ, Joseph and Rebekah Searles of Cortland; his granddaughters, Mara Matthaeus and Nova Zapata of Cortland; and his nephew Robert Berbaum of Whitney Point.
