With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Toomey of Cortland, New York, who passed away on March 7, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though John may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those John touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
Visitation was held on Sunday, March 16th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Wright-Beard Funeral Home (9 Lincoln Ave, Cortland, NY 13045). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, March 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Mary's Church (59 N Main St, Cortland, NY 13045).
