He was predeceased by: his father John Petrella Sr.; his parent-in-law William Maniaci; and also Carmella Maniaci. He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Maniaci; his mother Marjorie Petrella; his sister Stephanie Robinson; his siblings-in-law, Ann Ashfield (Tom) and William Maniaci Jr. (Corrine); his nieces, Anita Besharat, Andrea Besharat, Alexandra Maniaci and Adrianna Maniaci; his godchildren, Kaylee Whitsett and Greggy Whittsett; and his son John.
