He was predeceased by: his parents, Ignatius Szulewski and Marion Szulewski; and his siblings, Gene Szulewski and Joanne Coffin. He is survived by: his children, T. J. Nelson (Thomas John), Joy Putnam (Joyce M.), Jim, Tommy Nelson (Thomas Eugene) and Kimberly Boone; his niece Hiedy Hansel; his grandchildren, Dan Putnam (Katie), Lian Currie (Tyler), Lindsay Nelson and Abby Lewis; and his great grandchild Audrey Putnam.
