It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Fred E. Lewis of Cortland, New York, born in Whitesville, New York, who passed away on August 29, 2022, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Fredrick W. Lewis and Edith C. Lewis (Smith); his son Fredrick W. "Rick" Lewis; his siblings, John Lewis, Marietta Benton, Mary Teator, Elizabeth Wheaton, Pauline Stanton and Fredrick W. Lewis, Jr.; and his friend Sandra Allison.
He is survived by: his daughters, Varo Whitmer (Don) of Howard and Wendy Galvan (Mark) of Avoca; his grandchildren, Brandi Smith (Ben), Meghan Cansdale (Cris), Jesse Galvan (Jen), Amanda Long (Matt), Tony Galvan (Tiffany) and Morgan Murphy (Jack); his great grandchildren, Trenton, Austyn LaBarr, Addam, Paityn, Mackynze, Luke Cansdale, Jacob, Lincoln Galvan, Adelynne Long, Levi and Sawyer Galvan; and his brother James Lewis (Cassandra) of Cortland.
