With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Francis Ossit of Cortland, New York, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Ossit and Vivian Ossit (Howard); his brother Charles; his sister-in-law Alice Ossit of Cortland, NY; his nephews, Christopher and J. John Ossit; his uncle George; and his aunt Norva Ossit of McGraw, NY..
He is survived by: his uncle Fred (Zachary) of Cortland's American Legion Auxiliary; his nephew Steven Ossit (Deborah) of Cortland; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Christopher (Nadia Pedroza Ocampo), Mariah Ossit, Ryan Ossit and Kevin Ossit (Sheila) of Cortland; his friends, Phil, Belinda Cinquanti, Tammy Honour and Michael Bentley (Betty); and also, Kendra Ossit, Zachary Ossit and Nathaniel Ossit.
Visitation was held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Wright-Beard Funeral Home Inc. (9 Lincoln Ave, Cortland, NY 13045). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Cortland Rural Cemetery (110 Tompkins St, Cortland, NY 13045).
