He was predeceased by: his parent Robert Lawrence; his sister Judith; and his brother-in-law Arlyn Moore. He is survived by: his parent Fern French Lawrence; his children, Tricia Ludden (Chris) of Liverpool, Douglas Jere Lawrence (Lua) of Syracuse, Michelle Swenson (Ben) of Utah and Sarah Horner (Brian) of Cortland; and his friend Yvonne Burnette. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and 2 nephews.
