He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd Hay and Margaret VanPatten Hay; his son Andrew; his brother William Hay; and his brother-in-law William Thomas.
He is survived by: his wife Susan Hay; his children, Christopher Hay (Kim) and Traci Lian (Stephen); his grandchildren, Benjamin, Ethan Hay, Jayden, Kellen and Connor Lian; and his siblings, Sandra Thomas and LeRoy Hay (Laurie). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
