She was predeceased by: her parents, Hans Sands and Thelma Armstrong Sands; and her siblings, Eugene Smith, Donald Sands, Thelma Balmas (Toby) and Christine Morris.
She is survived by: her sons, Wesley Abbey (Sheila), Dana Abbey (Angela) and Gary Abbey (Loretta); her siblings, Carolyn Sands (Tiny) and David Sands; and her close friend Tiger. She is also survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
