He was predeceased by: his parents, Keith Clinch and Shirley DeLong Clinch; his daughter Erica Clinch; his brother Kenneth Clinch; and his siblings-in-law, Joanne John and Timothy Reed.
He is survived by: his wife Wendy Reed Harris; his siblings, Tom Clinch (Sue) of Watertown and Renee Gessis Jolly (Ken Smith) of Tacoma, WA; his stepson Mathew Shawl (Alicia); his stepgrandsons, Emmett and Graham; his stepson Lloyd Harris; his stepgrandson Wyatt Sutton Harris; his stepson Zebediah Harris (Arminda Bakos); his stepgranddaughter Scarlett; and his parents-in-law, Allen, Kathi Bond Reed, Ellen Moran, Charlene, Jimmy Maloney, Tod, Jean Reed, Judd and Deb Tuttle Reed.
At Dan's request, his body was donated to Syracuse University for the advancement of science.
