With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Anita Dawn VanGorder (Cortland, New York), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Anita left this world on December 30, 2024 at the age of 91, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parents, Merwin Lang and Esther Heffron Lang. She is survived by: her daughters, Darlene MacDonnell (Ken) and Teresa Pelton (Gary); her sister Linda Saltsman (Tom); her grandchildren, Stacy, Matthew, Christopher, Joshua and Amanda; and her great grandchildren, Madison, Fiona, Lillian, Brynn and Cooper. She is also survived by her nieces, nephews and other extended family.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Christ Community Church (1093 NY-13, Cortland, NY 13045). A memorial service was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
