He was predeceased by: his wife Grace Simmons; his son Joseph Simmons; his parents, Evelyn Simmons and Joseph Simmons; his sister Joan; and his brother-in-law Mike Coppola.
He is survived by: his sons, Robert Simmons Jr. of Freemont, CA and William Simmons (Christine Nastasi) of Hyde Park, NY; his stepgrandson Daniel Nastasi of Wappingers Falls, NY; his brother Richard; and his sister-in-law Gretchen Simmons of Nescopeck, PA. He is also survived by several nieces and close friends.
